How to get connected and reset your connector.

Best Practice

  • Connect car battery to battery support

  • Connect connector to 16pin OBD

  • Connect ethernet cable to connector and internet hub*

  • WiFi can be used for smaller jobs, please ask.

Get Connected

a. Connect the device to the OBD Port of any vehicle that is in range of your Wi-Fi. The green LED at the top right of the ethernet port on the device will start slowly flashing.

b. Using a phone or tablet, open your Wi-Fi settings and select the Connector XXXXX (For reference the connector number is on the back of the device).
(Your phone or tablet may ask if you want to stay connected)

c. Open a web browser and navigate to connector.help. Select your Wi-Fi network and enter your Wi-Fi password.

d. Wait for about 1 minute for both the green and orange LED to light steadily. The device is then connected to your shop Wi-Fi. If not, reset the Connector.

Reset

Connect the 16-pin OBD connector of the device to the OBD port of a vehicle.

• Use the supplied reset pin or a paperclip and press the reset switch for about 10 seconds and release it.

• The orange LED is constantly on and the green LED is flashing slowly: the connector is ready to connect to the network.
